1) Divert some flow around an existing pressure loss in a natural gas pipeline.
2) A motor spinning backwards (i.e. electrical generator) in the expander generates electricity.
3) Return the natural gas to the pipeline for 50-500W; zero-emissions operation expected.
Conclusion: Reduce emissions by 6.4-7.4 tonnes CO2/100W/year by avoiding burning gas for site power!
